The Power of Shared Language

October 12 @ 2:45 pm

The concept that language can shape our perception and influence our behavior has been around for a long time. Still, organizations under-utilize this powerful tool as they work tirelessly to create processes, policies and plans for the future. A shared language does more than impact the way people feel and behave, it is the foundation that builds and profiles an organizational culture for a generation or more. When thoughtfully implemented, a shared language can be the security blanket we wrap around us in times of uncertainty and the anchor that brings us back to the center on a cross-section of differing ideals, approaches and objectives.

Learning Objectives:

  • Experience and use the power of shared language.
  • Learn how to foster a culture of learning and service.
  • Recognize when to focus, fold or flex.
  • Discover what it means to hold yourself and others accountable.
